Q: I'am 5'5", female, 37 yrs. old, 168 lbs.  I have lost 30 pounds in the past year and have hit a plateau.  I would like to loose an additional 25 lbs.  What would you recommend for an eating & workout schedule.  How do I keep from being discouraged. 

A: It is important to switch up your training routine every 6-8 weeks to avoid any plateau effect.  As well having a personal trainer can help to design a specialized program to meet your goals, and give you that extra push and motivation to get past your plateau.  It is also extremely important to scientifically determine your Resting Metabolic Rate (RMR) so that you can determine how many calories you should be consuming.  If your diet is too strict, you may be starving your body of necessary nutrients.  At Xanadu you can find out what your RMR is and your weight loss goals will become a reality!
